Another big benefit of Sprout has been exposure to the resources that exist for families with small children in Homer. And now she is almost two, it is so much fun to watch her develop friendships with kids and staff.
As our daughter has grown, the playgroups are now a great opportunity for her to play with her friends - without any siblings at home, our daughter really benefits from the interaction with other kids. When our daughter was less than a year old, the playgroups functioned as a valuable chance to talk to other parents with similar-aged kids. The biggest benefit has been meeting other parents and kids and making friends (both adult and child). We loved it so we kept coming back, and through the playgroups we learned about and became involved in many other Sprout services. We thought it sounded like a good opportunity to meet other parents with similar-aged kids so we gave it a try when our daughter was 3 weeks old.
